Join Our CommunityIf you are currently working in the area of technical communication you will undoubtedly benefit from becoming a member of STC Alberta. We particularly encourage students of technical writing and technical communication to join us. You do not need to live in Alberta to be a member. BenefitsAs well as the local chapter programs and events, and the many opportunities of networking, mentoring, etc., STC publishes a number of excellent publications which you will receive throughout the year. STC’s magazine, Intercom , published 10 times each year, contains timely professional articles as well as Society news. Technical Communication - STC's highly acclaimed quarterly journal - publishes thought-provoking articles on subjects of interest to all technical communicators. Volunteer OpportunitiesYou can become involved in STC Alberta as much or as little as your schedule and interest level allow. You may choose to serve as an elected officer, or volunteer on any of our committees. There are many learning opportunities available throughout the year to enhance your knowledge and skills in the area of technical communication. Most important, perhaps, is the opportunity to meet and have fun with fellow technical communicators, and exchange ideas and opportunities.
